Hello, I'm Sendiko
Welcome to my corner of the web! I am Muhammad Rizky Sendiko, a software engineer, tinkerer, and multiplatform application builder based in Indonesia.
After completing my diploma in Application Software Engineering (D3 Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak Aplikasi) at Telkom University, where I also served as both a teaching assistant and laboratory assistant, I decided to set up blog.sendiko.dev. This space serves as a central hub where I can document my projects, technical findings, and daily experiments across development, self-hosting, and hardware customization.
What I Build & How I Work
My primary focus revolves around mobile and full-stack software development. I enjoy taking ideas from initial concepts, user flows, and architecture designs all the way to production.
- Mobile Development: I specialize in cross-platform and multiplatform ecosystems, primarily using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), Compose Multiplatform, Jetpack Compose, and Flutter. I focus on clean architecture, consistent UI state management, and seamless platform integrations across Android and iOS.
- Backend Architecture: On the backend, I design APIs and server workflows using NestJS, Node.js / Express.js, Ktor, TypeScript, and ORMs like Sequelize.
- DevOps & Infrastructure: My interest in infrastructure extends into managing self-hosted homelab environments. I regularly containerize apps using Docker & Docker Compose, route traffic via Nginx reverse proxies, and set up reverse SSH tunnels to expose internal services securely.
Recent Projects & Work
Over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to design and launch a variety of applications and tools:
- Penghitung Sembako: A mobile application designed for grocery calculations with cloud authentication and local offline-first caching capabilities.
- AJAK: A web-based assistant platform designed to simplify tax regulation awareness for Indonesian small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
- MANTA: A smart city security proposal (PKM-GFT) focused on real-time urban crime prediction using deep learning models.
- MyPatroli: A mobile-first web tool built for university lab assistants to handle inventory tracking and lost-and-found management.
- Minecraft Tunnel CLI: A CLI menu utility built in Kotlin to automate reverse SSH tunneling for local Minecraft LAN hosting.
Beyond Code: Hardware & Daily Tinkering
When I'm away from the IDE, I usually engage in hands-on hobbies:
- Self-Hosted Homelab: Running local services like Nextcloud, Stirling-PDF, and custom databases on my own server setup, frequently switching between Fedora Server, Fedora Workstation, macOS, and Nobara Linux.
- Mechanical Keyboards: Customizing and tuning mechanical keyboards—including switch mods, keycap swaps, and dampening configurations (currently using a tuned Rexus Daxa M100 Pro).
- Motorcycle Maintenance: Wrenching on my 2006 Suzuki Satria F150, maintaining everything from carburetors and intake manifolds to front fork suspensions.
- Brewing Coffee: Perfecting Moka pot extractions and exploring local Indonesian specialty coffee beans, especially Aceh Gayo, Bali Kintamani, and Kopi Luwak.
What to Expect on This Blog
blog.sendiko.dev will be a blend of technical walkthroughs, developer tutorials, self-hosting logs, and occasional write-ups on hardware customization or game mechanics.
Whether you're here to read about multiplatform app architecture, Nginx configurations, or homelab workflows, I hope you find something useful here. Thanks for stopping by!
